Its Nice to be Back!

Somewhere in Dumaguete City. The place somehow looks creepy but still beautiful.

It feels like ages since my last post. Much has been going on for the past six months and its nice to finally be able to post random photos again. Haha!

Three things

Three things I want to have/do right now:
  1. Money so that I could buy a..
  2. New Camera to take beautiful photos because I want to..
  3. Travel either abroad or just take a stroll in the country.
However, that will have to wait because there are more important things that I must do right now. So for the mean time, I'll just post more photos from my short holy week trip with my family in Batangas.

No, we didn't ride a plane for this trip. I just love taking airplane photos. This one's taken during my trip to Camiguin last January.

Holy Weekend

Moving On

After my long blogging hiatus last year, I made it a point to regularly update my blog although, sometimes I write about mundane things. The past month, I wasn't able to write about anything because a lot of things were happening in my life. I remember how I was complaining to my best friend how dull I thought my life is and now suddenly it all went on a complete turn. I'm not complaining though. I just can't help but compare how fast life can change in a span of a year.

In two weeks time, I will be starting anew in my career. I am resigning from my current job as a Copywriter to work as a Promo Writer for a TV network. I'd like to think of it as somehow fulfilling a childhood dream. You see ever since I was young, I always dreamed of working in TV.

Film

In college, I took a photography class. Back then, we were not allowed to use DSLR cameras. We were using film whenever we shoot. The other day, while browsing through my old stuff, I stumbled upon some of the prints that I took in college. It was a relief to know that some of the good prints were not washed away by the flood.

On Faith

I was born and raised as a Catholic. Both my parents are Catholics, we hear mass every Sunday, we practice catholic traditions at home, all my life I was educated in three different catholic schools, yet I don't really consider myself a religious person.

If you ask me, the textbook definition of a religious person is someone who recites a prayer everyday, a firm believer and follower of the Church, and someone who knows the bible inside-out. I'm not like that. I don't possess any of that qualities but I do have a personal relationship with God.

I acknowledge his presence in my life. Although I am not able to talk to him everyday, I see to it that I am able to thank him, ask forgiveness, and say my worries to him at least once a week. And then, there are times when I get mad at him because he hadn't given me what I thought I needed. This I'm not very proud of yet through it all, God has always been good to me and my family.

My personal relationship with him evolves as I grow old. At times, I feel that my faith matures with my age. Other times, it just fails. It is always hard to understand his plans for me however, it didn't stop me from trusting my fate to him. There will always be questions and doubts but then God has his own way of giving us what we truly need.

Our faith is our own personal relationship with God. Our beliefs and views on religion might differ on a lot of things but I think we can all agree on one thing - there is a God and he has been constantly guiding us right from the very start.
